Time Out just published a review of the play I just directed, From Both Hips. It has some nice things to say about the direction: “There?s some imaginative direction from Aileen Gonsalves, who ratchets up the comic tension by making the scene-changes mini parodies of the classic Western shoot-out, with the hapless heroes frozen in gun-slinging stances as their respective suburban sitting rooms settle around them.” It concludes “this is smart, screwy, and very agreeable entertainment.”
Hey Aileen,
Just wanted to say hello when I stumbled upon your hit on google. I was searching for pictures on google of typical homes in Goa to get a better idea of how the olden homes are designed. See, I too am interested in the art of film making and was looking to create some short films centred around Goan herritage. Since I live in Toronto, I wanted to see if I could mimic such setting here, and then, start writing some scripts to go along that way.
Anyhow, this is just a hello and was interesting to see that you too were interested in film. All the best with your endevours.
Regards,
Anthony
